Wikipedia goes dark
To protest the “Stop Internet Piracy Act” (SOPA) Wikipedia will go dark on Wednesday. The bill will make it illegal to link to any sites that offer copyrighted material and, says Wikipedia co-founder Jimmy Wales, it would enable censorship and be a violation of first-amendment rights.

Take a look at the image above. At first glance you’ll think that this map looks like any other U.S. wall map. It has place names. Political boundaries. Lakes, rivers, highways. But there is one fine difference. This map, is hand drawn. David Imus, a cartographer, worked alone on this map, seven days a week for two full years. We think it’s incredible.
